Fuel Dilution Testing
FDM 6000 Series
Part Number:
Q6000
The FDM 6000 is a rugged, battery-powered instrument designed for rapid, on-site measurement of fuel dilution in engine oils. It employs a patented head-space sampling system with a Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) sensor to detect volatility levels—an indirect indicator of percent fuel in oil—without the use of solvents. Test results are delivered in under a minute, offering laboratory-quality accuracy (±0.2% for 0.2–2%, ±10% for 2–15%) and full compliance with ASTM D8004.
Rapid & Efficient
Measures 0.2–15% fuel dilution in under 60 seconds using only 0.5 mL of oil.
High Accuracy
±0.2% error (0.2–2%) and ±10% error (2–15%), with repeatability ≤5% RSD.
No Solvents Required
Disposable vials eliminate cross-contamination and simplify cleaning.
Portable & User‑Friendly
Lightweight (1.4 kg), built-in 9 V lithium battery (3–4 h runtime), touchscreen interface with USB data upload.
Calibration Flexibility
Comes standard with single-point calibration; upgraded model (FDM 6001) supports up to three profiles.
Standards‑Compliant
Fully meets ASTM D8004 for in-service fuel dilution testing.
