FluidScan® 1000 Series
Part Number:
Q1000
The FluidScan is a handheld infrared spectrometer used for on-site oil condition analysis. It measures TAN, TBN, oxidation, water content, fuel dilution, and other key parameters—without solvents or lab prep. Designed for predictive maintenance, it meets ASTM D7889, the standard practice for condition monitoring of lubricants using IR spectroscopy.
Portable Mid-Infrared Spectroscopy Engineered for Field Diagnostics
The FluidScan utilizes solid-state, mid-infrared spectroscopy to provide real-time insights into the chemical condition of oils. Its patented optical system and robust build make it ideal for industrial and mobile environments where lab analysis isn't feasible.
Multi-Parameter Analysis in One Measurement
With a single test, the FluidScan can simultaneously evaluate Total Acid Number (TAN), Total Base Number (TBN), oxidation, nitration, water content, glycol contamination, fuel dilution, and more—eliminating the need for multiple devices or repeat testing.
Solvent-Free Testing for Faster, Cleaner Operation
Unlike traditional laboratory methods, the FluidScan does not require solvents or complex sample prep. Users simply deposit a small oil sample (~100 μL) on the reusable flip-top cell, allowing for fast turnaround and minimal waste.
Compatible with a Wide Range of Fluids
The system is capable of analyzing mineral oils, synthetic esters, phosphate esters, glycol-based fluids, turbine oils, and even used or degraded fluids—making it highly flexible across sectors like aviation, marine, energy, and transportation.
Built-In Fluid Library and Custom User Profiles
FluidScan includes a library of common lubricant types and allows users to create and store custom fluid profiles for user-specific equipment. The device automatically matches new samples to known baselines for instant diagnostics.
Integrated with Asset Monitoring Platforms
Data collected on the FluidScan can be exported to platforms like TruVu 360 or iLube, enabling advanced diagnostics, report generation, and long-term trend tracking.
Rugged Design with Long Battery Life
Built for demanding environments, the FluidScan features a durable enclosure, color touchscreen, and up to 8 hours of battery operation—making it ideal for both fixed-site and mobile oil analysis programs.
